Yes please, why not, a bit more power is always good  :)

Here you have, flash it via Quickflasher app.

In my device seems completely stable. If for some reason you see some unstabilty in yours, just flash a "standard" kernel like the ones included in the LegacyROM

Hi, has anyone had the chance to compare this device with the Shield? I own a Shield but I really like the G5A layout, the flip screen and the general bulk of the Shield bother me a little.

I have both and, naturally, the quality of the Shield is in a totally different division but, in practice, this is a nice device too.

Tried the overclock, it didn't work on my device, it kept rebooting after i selected it in set cpu.Flashed the legacy rom back and i'm also noticing if i try to install mame4droid off the play store it gets to where its installing then the device restarts with the app not installed. I side loaded an older apk of mame4droid which installed ok.Not sure whats happening there.

Did you reflash Legacy with the Restore option in flash tool? I am using mame4droid 0.139 downloaded from play store and my app is still there after a reboot. I am using SWAP indeed. (the one that comes with the rom to change internal and external sdcards).

A pity that OC don't work in yours, in mine is rock solid, is the kernel I am using actually indeed.

Yes, i used the restore option. Had the same issue with Nova 3, side loading the apk worked though, bought it from the play store and wap shop.

Probably something went wrong with flashing or your internal memory is making something weird (like not mounting mnt/asec or something like that). I have nova 3 installed from store too and no issues, so that's not normal at all. All my apps can be downloaded and remain after reboot.

I'd try reflashing and check if it solves, because it's not normal, unless you are using some kind of app that is making that behaviour.

Maybe for some reason the Rockchiip recovery didn't wipe everything ok. Well, good to know in case it can happen to other people.

Just noticed that Geekbuying posted a link to a Kitkat beta for the G5A. Will you be updating LegacyROM to a kitkat base at some point? (I don't know anything about the combination of Rockchip+Kitkat, so I don't know if that's a good plan or not, just wondering)...

I have been testing new Stock ROM, and I think it's not needed to make a new legacy JB based on that. they basically include some of the things I already included in legacy, like vsync fix for videos, or apps installed in data instead of system, so no need to update. We'll probably focus on Kitkat to see if it's worth it or not. At the moment Legacy runs pertty good IMHO , so new JB updates will depend on new stuff that can be interisting to include.

There are some apps that dob't work with ART. Also, RK 4.4.2 is not so mature as Google 4.4.2 in Nexus. RK 4.4.2 use the same kernel as JB with some minor patches, so there is no big difference between them. I personally think that Android 4.2.2 works so good in this device that I personally don't feel the need to update, unless until Rockchip makes a better work with Kitkat. Kitkat also removes the possibilty of swapping memories (making microSd as main memory)
