I just got the Columbian rebranded one. It just keeps turning on and off over and over again. I can't get my computer to recognize my g5a. Any suggestions?

Have you installed the jellybean rom on it? Probably is not compatible with your clone, you'll have to install the kitkat rom.

Install rockchip drivers: https://mega.co.nz/#!1wQBBBgC!INI4VrR6s273rCvY9fz6nYzuQJtlX7CbrTwd3JOBk6o

And use a windows 7 computer with usb 2.0 port to flash it the rom.

I need help Skelton. I installed the rockchip drivers. Then my friend broke my laptop. So I didn't realize king user was the Su permission thing. I installed super user Su. It needed an updated binary. Everything was working fine until king user updated. Now it crashes and freezes after two minutes. I tried freezing super user but I can't find king user to disable it. Is there anywhere I can get the apk for king user before I updates it? I think that might fix my problem. Since my friend broke my computer, I can't fix it. Should I ask if willgoo will exchange or for a working one? I really like it but I can't fix it until my computer is fixed.

It's been said that new batches (clones not manucfactured by GPD) are not compatible with JB apparently. You'll have to try on your own. If it doesn't work, you can always go back to Android 4.4.4. I don't see any benefit of JB firmware though, the kitkat firmware works like a charm for me, better than JB.

CONFIRMED! I had mine (Stock 4.4.4 , RED clone) then flashed legacyROM 2.0(with OC) --> then legacyROM 1.5(with OC) -->> and finally to this version legacyROM 1.0 (for the sake of the BOTTOM ONLY status bar && using tincore keymapper as stock one)

when screen goes to sleep, well it did NOT! instead it just reboots and reboots. depend on how long you set timout (15 seconds to 30 minutes)

so I guess maybe I will be going back to legacyROM 2.0

btw skelton, is there a way to "SWAP" that stock keymapper 'app' at the title bar, to using tincore keymapper?

That only can be done if I make a new ROM, but most people preferred to keep stock mapper, so I did that way in the kitkat ROM. I am not going to do more versions sorry.

Hi Skelton

Its a bit of a hassle though switching between these two mappers (bottom for stock) and upper part of screen for tincore. Really wish there would be a 'software button' for tincores (just like the stock).maybe situated next to the stock?

actually I use both of them.. using stock if control requirements are just a few buttons, or using tincore keymapper for the more elaborate ones

but I guess I will just have to live with that :D

thanks btw for a superb ROM skelton! :D

really loving this android device with integrated physical buttons/joystick.. makes gaming much BETTER!

now im kicking butt with swordigo and geometry wars 3!

Cheers!
