for a while now i have been storing my g5a in a vaultz pencil box and about a few days ago i realy started playing a ton of ds games on my g5a so to make it easy on myself i started carrying around a stylus underneath the tablet well apparently this was a bad idea because some how the darn thing worked its way out from underneath the tablet and wedged itself between the case and the left trigger and broke it. good news is that the way mine broke it was actually very simple to fix
inside the top shell of the g5a where the triggers live is a plastic notch that the triggers rest inside of on mine the side of one of the notches (the one closest to to your left hand when your playing a game) broke off causing the trigger to pop out and stick inside of the device. what i was able to do to fix this was to cut a small wedge out of a old credit card shove it into a spot between the side posts and the broken notch and then twisted the credit card wedge to make a new side to the broken notch and then closed every thing back up and that fixed the problem. its a cheesy fix i know but its good as new and you cant tell from outside the device that its even there.
if any one is interested in seeing the fix let me know ill pull the case back off and take some pictures hopefully this will help the next guy that screws up one of his triggers.
