GPD XD is not super powered device, so i can't use heavy shaders or portable version of Hyperspin, so I decided to make an easy assembly that will work on any average device.
Hope you'll enjoy it!
What i been using:
1. Arc Browser frontend with my custom theme (runs as default android launcher)
2. Retroarch with overlays and crt-pi shaders slightly edited by me.
HOW TO USE CUSTOM THEME IN ARC BROWSER[1] Unzip 2 folders in any place on you GPD XD
[2] Place the files
genre_all.png and
grid_view.png from the subfolder with the platform name in the
"genre_all" folder at the place where the Roms of the corresponding platform are located on your GPD XD
[3] In Arc Browser go to
Global UI settings and select this unzipped directory
"Arc_Theme" as a
Theme Directory[4] In Arc Browser
"Main screen UI settings" select
"Classic - Show games on main screen" layot.
[5] Then open
"Classic layout" settings and edit them this way:
Grid View icon mode = Visible without any title
All Games icon mode = Visible without any title
Hide system name = on
Hide fast lane = on
Show collections row = on
[6] To use
Collections with images:
1) Add any game to [New collection]
2) Name the collection as well as the files in unzipped
Arc_Theme folder are called
except for the prefix "collection_" For example: To make NES beat'em'up collection image visible you need to call new collection
"b_nes"Where: "b" = "beat'em'up"
"f" = "fighting"
"r" = "run'n'gun"
"s" = "shoot'em'up"
