v1.1 firmware has the dingoo "paw" logo?
« on: January 28, 2011, 12:31:07 am »

there has been speculation that gemei tech made the original dingoo digital a320. its curious why the gemei a330 v1.1 firmware should have the dingoo digital paw print logo?

i've also noticed that v1.1 firmware removes the "browse" menu option for an "application" option. application lets you browse for "3D" file extensions but you can't manipulate them at all. anyone know what the updated "application" option is for?

Well, the Gemei Tech and Dingoo Digital both come under the same parent company of China Chip, I am not sure who makes the firmware for the Gemei A330, but it could be a Dingoo company.

The 'browse' option is moved into 'Settings' for v1.1. For the unofficial firmware 1.1, you had to change the file extensions of the 3D games, but if you get the new official one, you have to change them back. So you may as well just get that and save the hassle. Then you can launch the 3D games in 'Applications'. There is also an updated picture viewer you can get which will launch from there. Check out the wiki for the link.
