I heard the Mega Drive / Genesis emulator on the A320 was pretty much unplayable due to scanlines moving/blurring or something similar...does it work on the Gemei?

GA330 doesn't have a Playstation or Sega Saturn emulator... well, not yet at least...

Good luck with emulating saturn on pc, it's pretty hard, at least thats how it was for me. I bet it'll be easier to emulate dreamcast in distance/ not so distance future on some epic chinish goodness like a320 was.

For the NES, can you try The Guardian Legend? The shoot-em-up bit at the beginning runs super-slow on the A320.

The game runs identically on both systems. From what Ive tested Nes and Genesis emulation is the same, no improvements. It's really the arcade emulators that have improved performance/compatability and GBA. I think it's just because of the extra proccessor speed/Ram rather than any optimizing by Gemei. Still, better performance is better performance regardless of how its acheived.

Interesting. This game works fine on my A320, however I have heard of others who have had problems with it. If I use a newer version of the rom, I see the glitches on the opponent, but when I used an older version of the rom the game runs fine. This is the same with Metal Slug 3, with a non-encrypted rom it runs fine on the A320 and with sound. I think some of the problems people are having with certain games are due to the roms themselves and not the hardware/software. For instance, Neo Geo Cup '98 doesn't work properly on any PC based emu that I've tried due to the raster effects.

He's talking about the hacked MD emulator for the A320, which can be found here: http://www.mediafire.com/?yyrglymwwyw

NES RC Pro-Am never worked on my a320.

Seems to work fine on the GA330 :)

EDIT: hmmm... maybe I'm thinking of some other game. RC Pro-Am seems to be working on my Dingoo too...

but..he said "works fine" and i am under the impression that there is no way an a320 emulator can work on the ga330..

I was responding to the post above mine, which was referring to the A320 Mega Drive emulator.

got it - so the answer is that theres no fixed or updated one for the Gemei.

i have found many roms for MD that work very well on the GA330 - a few seem to have scanline issues and some outright seem to crash the thing - but they might be bad roms.  I've  found genesis games to be very playable so far.
