Nes emu v1.1
« on: December 14, 2010, 01:07:36 am »
Just spotted an updated nes emu on the official site

http://www.gemeitech.com/Download.asp

Not sure if there are any changes besides cheats being added.  Seems to work well, like the last version did  8)

Well, as I could see today, the emulator wasn't available for download on the Gemei's site. By the way, I was able to save it and here it is an alternative link: http://www.mediafire.com/?iunbwewuet4kt2s

This site worked for me: http://www.microsofttranslator.com/

Just do a page at a time it wont accept the lot in one go.

Pretty big change actually: this version of the SIM file enables the GA330 to play NES games off the miniSD card :)

Well, now I'm just confused. NES emu can read off the miniSD card on one unit and not the other. Using the same card and everything ???

I'm dissapointed with this. Why release an update and not fix the sound lag. The Nes and MD emulators suffer sound lag.

Has anyone tried using the (E) Roms instead of (U)(J) to counter the sound lag on the nes roms. My A320 and GA330 are fine with sound but the (E) play sound to fast. I think that this might have been an old issue with the A320.

No clue as what to do with the SMD roms other than wait for gemux and Picodrive! But as we're still waiting for a snes emulator we might be a while.

confused, but not crazy  -I got a similar issue with both of mine - seems the NES emulator doesnt always read of the card.
I have decided to simply put NES on internal memory and everything else on the card.

the glitchy side-effect is that now, when i browse the internal saved games - everything shows up - a mish-mash of external and internal roms all show up with no directory structure.

Most likely because the (E) games are European versions which are PAL (50Hz). The NES emulator is probably running at 60Hz (NTSC), therefore you will notice a speed up in sound and frame rate.

Have you done this:

In the settings menu change "Browse Type" from All files to Directory browsing.

yeah - back and forth, they both do it both ways - browse external shows no files for NES when its in directory mode or all files mode.  I will follow up though, not sure if that "combined files" thing happens in both modes..it might - i had zelda on the external and couldnt see it, then copied it internal and saw 2 copies after that - since it was the last file listed, i am not sure if the combined directories thing was happening then because i started from the bottom of the list
