"Hello, world!" code and boot from SDCard
« on: December 24, 2012, 12:57:51 pm »
Hi, after one day working to disassembly Booboo's rom.bin(SDCard binary file).
Now, i have modified the disassembly file to assembly code and this code cab be compiled as binary file.
this binary file cab also be burned to 2G SDCard and show some initial message(Hello, world!) via uart(rs232).

i think this is a small milestone to hack ga330 game handheld.
i will continue to do such thing and find out all registers(if i can). :)

all steps as following:
http://home.educities.edu.tw/fushiyun2000/dingoo_ga330_hack_hello_world.htm

uart line as following:

Excellent, Excellent, Excellent news! Thank you so much for the hard work and effort! I have always felt that this console would really take off if someone took some interest in it! I am looking forward to more things from you in the future!!

Hi !

Could someone explain me a little more the point of that hack ?

I thought all development was stopped for a very long time for this device.
Could you please sum up what has been achieved for the Gemei A330 so far (on native for example).

Can i understand that it could open the way for some kind of open dingux on GA330 which seems quite difficult to achieve due to the totally different architecture of the handheld (when compared toward the original dingoo A320).

I ask that cause the Gemei A330 is still a really cheap handheld in a very small form factor and seems to have a prettly slick design with better shoulder button than the A320 but in my memories, emulation was quite poor on native.

that's good news indeed,

someone trying to improved this device, i like the emulation speeds and etc, not bad, but gemei haven't give support or updates, they just throw the a330 in the market and "f*ck you guys", and then released a psp clone with same hardware, too bad, a320 was a blockbuster.

anyway, good luck bro! keep it up!
ROCK'N ROOOOOOOLLLL!!!
