What Game(s)
« on: March 03, 2013, 01:19:24 pm »
I am kinda surprised no one has made a thread about this yet...

With what we have read and seen of the Zero's capability, what game(s) are you most looking forward to playing on your Zero?!

I my self:

A few of the Metroids (I haven't played one in a long while)
FFT Adanced
Advanced Wars
Some of the Final Fantasy(s) from SNES
Powder, the rouge like stand alone game
Mega Mans from Nes/SNES

If we get lucky and have a working PSX emulator:
PSX Final Fantasy(s)
Metal Gear Solid
Some other RPG from PSX era

If we get really lucky and get the ability to play DOS games:
(If i understand what we will be able to do)
Some of the Might and Magic games

Needless to say, I will be getting plenty of use out of my Zero.

EDIT:
Oh i wanted to add, i found this site, which gives a good quick review of a ton of games, I like to check things like this so I don't end up wasting my time on a game that gets really bad half way through. :p
http://videogamecritic.com/mobile/consoles.htm

AND also!
I felt like with the amount of negative attitude around here:
Keep up the work Justin, I appreciate all the work to get these consoles.
Don't listen to the complainers, they don't realize they are actually hindering the project by being negative.

Advance Wars, eduke32, Super Punch Out, Mario All Stars, Phantasy Star 2-4, Super Ghouls & Ghosts.

If psx emulation is decent: Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, Mega Man Legends

Primarily I am looking forward to playing Outrun at a faster speed than I am currenly able to on my Caanoo, maybe full speed.  Based upon a movie Qbertaddict posted on YouTube, it runs much faster.

Actually, this movie was made to show some improvements made to the Final Burn Alpha emulator.  However, it shows Outrun running in it.  It really runs much faster than it did on the Wiz or the Caanoo.

I currently run quite a few Neo Geo games on my Caanoo, although there are some I have not been able to run.  Hopefully they will run on the Zero.

Finally, I would like to play some of the RPGs of the Super Nintendo, like Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger.

Maybe someone will port Cannonball, an enhanced Outrun engine that runs at a higher framerate, to the Zero.

I never heard of that port before.  It looks great on this movie:

All of those except ikaruga run excellent. I've done videos of a few of those games already. Ikaruga will not happen.

REALLY looking forward to TurboDuo.  Ikaruga news makes me a bit sad though.

If you can get Ikaruga running at full fps, then you be expecting the Zero be doing some Dreamcast emulation, since they pretty much run on the same hardware. Which I will say is mostly not going to happen.

I have been wanting to get into the Ultima series, beginning with the NES versions, so I'm looking forward to playing Quest of the Avatar on my GCW.
