Title: Patched ROMS with Lunar IPS Playable?
Post by: richiban on May 06, 2014, 01:21:40 am
I recently discovered rom patches and patched a few Super Mario World ones with Lunar IPS, but upon loading in Pocketsnes, I get a blank screen, no audio and that's about it.

I thought I'd throw it out to the pros to see if there's a workaround or if it's even possible.

I have a folder full of prepatched ROMs of Super Mario World, all done with Lunar IPS. They work fine.

Make sure you take the correct ROM of Super Mario World for each ROM hack, though! Some demand the headered version, some demand the non-headered version. The headered version is 524800 bytes; the non-headered version is 524288 bytes. Most will run fine using the headered USA ROM, but not all. Each hack's readme will tell you more.
