MESS emulation
« on: August 27, 2014, 02:27:55 am »
Recently I emailed the coordinator of MESS, Miodrag Milanovic, and asked about the possibility of an OpenDingux port.

Here is what he said:
Yes it would be possible, as I am aware there is already SDL support for it, but it would require someone with hardware to do so and to be able to test. I do not own device and not aware if any of other developer do own one. Note that requirements in for memory for MESS and MAME are quite high, so not sure if some things will run at all, also if run, not sure about speed.
But if you are willing to do porting we will be happy to include patches in code if needed for official distribution.

I know almost nothing about code and I was wondering if someone would be willing to try this. I understand that some systems cannot be emulated at a fast rate, but others such as Mega Duck and Super a'can should be able to run fine on the GCW-Zero. MESS would bring quite a bit of attention I believe to OpenDingux and the GCW-Zero.  :)
