ZX81's Amstrad CPC emulator for GCW zero

Hi People!

This is ZX81's dingux-cap32 Amstrad CPC emulator recompiled for the GCW Zero
This is a quick port using the GCW toolchain and also my first attempt at recompiling for any handheld device!


Thank you to ZX81 for the dingux-cap32 source code!

Really nice !!! Perfect.
The sound is a bit strange... (sound tick ratio parameter can't be changed under 2)

I tested this emulator (I used the standard procedure to run unpacked applications), but it doesn't run... maybe is it incompatible with the last firmware update (2013-10-04) ?

I have not had a chance to update my firmware yet to test, it works ok on the 13/9/13 firmware version.
I'm not sure if there were any major changes in the last firmware update to break compatibility.
I will update my firmware tonight to see if it works.
The sound is buggy in this version, it was my first attempt at compiling for the zero.
I am pretty much a noob at using linux and compiling software.
I didn't want to keep pestering devs to port it, so i thought i would have a go at compiling it myself!

Just updated my firmware and the emu is still working, how are you trying to run it?

Yes, probably the access permissions are the "problem"... I tried to change the chmods of "dingux-cap32" file (from 600 to 700/777), but when I recheck the chmods they are restored to initial value "600" (I use FlashFXP)...  :(

Can you upload a version of "dingux-cap32" file with different access permissions (from 600 to 700 or 777)? Thanks a lot! :)

I have just uploaded a new version that should work ok.
Its the same version no major changes just compiled using the latest toolchain.
the one that i originally uploaded on the 9/9/13 did not work for me either! DOH!

Thank you Segakiki! ;) With the Kitty I was successful to change the chmods in the software-emulator file and after it ran correctly! :) The Emulator works pretty well, the audio crackles a little bit !

Thanks, i have no idea how to fix the sound.
Hopefully ZX81 will port a better version soon when he gets the time...

I cannot run this emulator. I've changed "dingux-cap32" file permissions, but when I launch it always returns to emulators menu =(

Any help please?

Edit: I mean that when I launch "dingux-cap32" and I select a zip or dsk from file list, it always returns to file list, nothing happens

This is an old release, if you want play with a "virtual Amstrad CPC" you can try it: http://boards.dingoonity.org/gcw-releases/caprice32-(amstrad-cpc)/
