the route of the first game gives me a crash after a few seconds...
Also you can't select VSYNC, if so, the game crash and you go bacl to ODingux.
(I'm using Hi ban version)

strange....

edit-> it seem to be more stable now, don't know why.
Pity there's no working v-sync :(

I'm curious: why play this instead of just playing the real streets of rage through emulation?

because it's an updated version of the 3 SoR in 1.

Like arcade Nightslasher VS Homebrew Nightslasher X version for exemple.

You got all 3 street of rage, with some new effects, the battle style of SOR2 or 3 (you can choose), new enemies, new stages, new playable characters, Adam character graphic redone and playable on all SOR, custom routes/paths for stages, additional items, remastered music and new music, whole new campaign, new moves, and a lot of other things... It's just GREAT.

Dumb Sega asked the developers (fan project) to delete the game and stop working on it, if they were intelligent they needed to work with em and not stop the project.

:)

In my opinion, this remake is just one of the best beat-them-all games ever !
I already spent a lot of time on this GCW version.

I think the "shop" where you can unlock things (characters, bonus, etc.) with the money you won during the game is a very great idea and makes the game very challenging.
And the remastered musics are so nice !

I just hope we'll have one day an optimized version for the Zero because I often encounter crashes during the game (especially on the first stage).
The game quit suddenly and returns to the open dingux menu :(

Fortunately, a savestate is automatically created at the beginning of each stage, so if, for instance, the game crashes during the stage 2, I must restart from the beginning of stage 2 when I relaunch the game ...

I really hope someone will access the source code one day to offer us a dedicated version of this great game.

this is the version i have, it's working fine for me:

https://mega.co.nz/#!gx0VTZpR!KrYGtz9hZ758yz81QJP9IypfthMDatBnH1nDtgsheBU

if it doesn't save, try creating this folder in your unit: /media/data/local/home/.sorrv5/savegame/
Is the link broken? All I get is blank screen with a cloud asking to follow in the bottom right-hand corner.

Solarus 1.2 depends on SDL2, wich is currently broken on GCW-Zero. I'm waiting for the next toolchain/firmware release to try again.

I am probably premature here since my thinkgeek unit is still on the way, but thank you for the port job. Played the hell out of streets of rage 2, tried the other two in emulation, and frankly sort even in v4 was miles above the genesis ga,es. Glad to see v5 ported over even if a few hoops need jumping through.

I downloaded and installed the .opk and the game crashes whenever I select it from the open dingux menu. Can this be caused by bad installation or incompatibility between firmware releases? I think it may have transferred incorrectly from my computer to the GCW Zero. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have been having trouble playing Streets of Rage and King of Fighters remakes. Whenever I try to open them, the games crash and I return to the menu.

You need unzip those OPK to SDcard, tap "select" in GCW0 GAME section to "Add link in games", it will works fine then.

Ok, I installed the Streets of Rage and I pressed select to add links in Games. What folder do I have to use to make it work?  I am using internal memory for this game.

The one you extracted the OPK's contents into, if you followed finalmix's instructions.

Just like Gab1975 said, the Streets of Rage doesn't create a folder for itself. I tried creating a new folder in media (see hi ban's previous post) but that isn't detected by my GCW Zero. Can it also be possible that the game doesn't function in the newer firmware which was released? Norghat had the same problem.

Changes in the 2014-05-05 firmware have broken the launching for this game, but not the game itself. So to make it work, you essentially need to subvert the OPK format.

If you extract the OPK, by which finalmix means "take the OPK, which contains compressed files, and extract its contents as regular files, to then transfer the result", you can then create a link in gmenu2x to the program file in the folder you transferred.
