Anyone else having issues with games crashing after updating to the latest GCW Zero Firmware?

Do you use the FluidSynth for the audio emulation?
In this case, probably, you need to re-instate the FluidSynth soundfont: go to the option menu, select the MIDI sub-menu, select SoundFont option, browse in the path "/mnt/ScummVM/" and choose GeneralUser.sf2 !

PS: otherwise you can utilize the Adlib sound emulation (a worse sound quality than FluidSynth, but also a lower CPU usage).

This worked a charm! Thanks!

Must have screwed around with it some time ago and forgotten about it.

Okay so by adding joystick_num=0 to the scummvmrc config file the joystick was enabled, but is there a way to change the sensitivity?

Thanks!

Anyone working on a new version of ScummVM? Update to 1.7? Performance improvements? Tweaks or whatever?

From the SCUMM webpage:

But this is not all. We have added experimental support for the OUYA console (we couldn't add GCW-Zero support simply because sev still awaits his console from Kickstarter), made major improvements to the PS2 port and merged the Bada with Tizen ports.

Any chance Mice in Joy will be updated and usable with ScummVM?  I miss it.

There were certain talks about something in this regards- but I'm still waiting for some input. I'll probably end up updating it regardless.

Stay Tuned.

User AntiCat seems to have fixed it: http://boards.dingoonity.org/gcw-games-and-homebrew/mice-in-joy-9024/  :)

I can't get the program to work. If I load up Day of the Tentacle (CD), ScummVM crashes and if I load up King's Quest VI (DOS) the console pops up and says the custom sound font "/mnt/scummvm/" failed to load.

Any tips?

Try to override the audio setting and change to adlib to see if that works ?

Maybe this my "old post - reply #37" can be useful! ;)

Hey, it worked! I tried changing the route as Gab said in his post (thanks btw!) but it's already like that and it doesn't work. Guess Adlib should suffice for now :)

As alternative, you can also download a free .sf2 soundfont (like one in this website), put it in a folder of your GCW Zero internal memory and update the SoundFont path in the ScummVM configuration... ;)

Does anyone know how to use GUI themes in the Zero version of Scummvm? I've been looking into it, and have a theme in a .zip that I'd like to set, but I'm not sure how to actually set it. Options only shows the path.
