This runs fantastically! Love the GUI as well.

I have never played a NGPC game. Really enjoying Neo Turf Masters. Can't wait to play through some of the others.

For something sort of obscure I'd recommend Dark Arms: Beast Buster 1999. I originally gave it a try due to the weird name, but found out it's a fun top down action game with a ton of different weapons you can create and customize.

The two Metal Slug games for it are really good and different enough from the arcade games to be interesting on their own.

bios support

So, what does this mean? I happen to have some files called "Neo Geo Pocket BIOS (J).bin" and "Neo Geo Pocket Color BIOS (JE).bin". How do I use them, and in what way will they affect the emulation?

Is there a way to change the border ? or add a custom one ?

Same here. One minor quibble was the default button mapping matched the labels instead of the placement (the Zero's A and B are in opposite positions as the A and B on the NGP). A quick trip to the button settings menu and it's all good.  ;D

The only thing that would make the experience better would be to mod the Zero's D-pad to an 8-way clicky microswitch stick.  :P   Although, I notice RACE 2.16 for PSP has a rewind function, hmm...  ::)

Rewind function, yes, why not, will try to understand how does it work.

What do we do with the bios files?
Do we have to rename there extension from .bin to .ngp

Any way I can map the Dpad to the analog stick? Just wondering since I can't find a way to map the analog. Would be great since the NGPC was stick only.

As far as I know, it's not possible in the current Race version... maybe in a next release! ;)

When i started up race and selected a game, None of the buttons worked. I went into the button settings and it didn't help much.

It's strange, for me it works fine... did you try to delete the config-dir (.race) in the $home folder and after to launch again the emulator?

Like the other users, how do you load the BIOS?
My best guess is to name the BIOS 'NPBIOS.BIN' and place it in the .race-od directory.
But it still doesn't recognize it!

Hey guys! Just downloaded this emulator last night, it works great!

Was just wondering if there's any way to play full screen without warping the aspect ratio? Also, is there anyway to put some bilinear filtering on? The native rez is a bit too small for my eyes...
Thanks!

Alekmaul, I found your repository and did a first PR for not streched full screen. Works fine, but I'm not confident source code there is up to date (seems older than v1.1 ...)
If you could update source code I may help you on it.

Thanks

For those who wants it, here is the source:

I posted a link to his git hub in the Stella thread. I think that has the most up to date stuff. If not let me know I still speak with him and can get you what you need. Although the best thing to do in my opinion would be adding support through mednafen. It is already working with tg16/pce/cd

I forked  https://github.com/alekmaul/race on which last commit was on Nov 18, 2012.
Since this post was on September 21, 2013 I doubt it is up to date (seems prior to 1.1 post)

I'm currently working on making analog stick working.

Can you point me toward mednafen port? can't seem to find it here.

Same here, it's really hard to look at in full screen with the aspect ratio distorting the pixels. Is there any chance of getting an update?

These days I've been hooked on Card Battle Clash, but have resorted to playing it in original-res. This introduces the banner image of the NGPC.  Is there a way of choosing which banner I can use?  (I'd actually like to turn it to black).  I can't see anything in settings that can change this.

Card Battle Clash has really great sprite art looks, but it looks so bad when stretched to full screen.  :(

Alekmaul's race opk (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwYi4RGX-HSac0lpQXk5amtzZ1k/view?usp=sharing)

EDIT
A post (http://www.portabledev.com/category/vie-du-site/) on Alekmaul's site:

Le site fait peau neuve. Et oui, je sais, les anciens t?l?chargements ne sont plus disponibles, mais ils vont revenir, il s?agit juste d?une question de temps ?
Pour l?instant, je focalise le site sur le d?veloppement ColecoVision et SuperNes, ce qui m?occupe plus de 200% de mon temps !

The site has a new look . And yes , I know, the old downloads are no longer available, but they will come back , it 's just a matter of time ...
For now, I focus the site on the development and ColecoVision Supernes , which look after more than 200 % of my time !

Thanks for looking that up and sharing the opk, David.

Seems like we'll have to wait for a little while for any kind of update to this.   ???

nvm, I'm dumb.  :D

Anyone who wants to play Neo Geo Pocket Color games should use Mednafen instead.
http://boards.dingoonity.org/gcw-releases/mednafen-gcw0-multi-emulator-(pc-fx-ngp-gb-nes-lynx-)/ (http://boards.dingoonity.org/gcw-releases/mednafen-gcw0-multi-emulator-(pc-fx-ngp-gb-nes-lynx-)/)

I had personally tried to update Race again and it's sadly a desperate case. (it no longer compiles properly)

Thanks gameblabla.

I did check out Mednafen first, but noticed there were a few things I couldn't get working for me. I'll comment in your thread instead of posting it here.
