Ok, I'm releasing this build as it seems it run almost perfectly.

This "branch" will soon be replaced by a new opentyrian-c4all. save will be compatible between the two version so feel free to use that version for now.

For those who do not know it, Tyrian is a nice shooter. OpenTyrian is an opensource reimplementation of the engine.
details on Tyrian can be found there:

a few mandatory screenshots:

and of course, the download link:
that OPK already include the game data, you just have to drop it on your gcw0 and you're ready to play.

and here are the only modified file from the original OpenTyrian:
there's no source change, the default key mapping problem is solved by running a script during application startup rather than source modifications...

edit: updated links to a more durable googledrive and bumped to my last version which use pristine source from the original OpenTyrian project...

Thanks, I love this game so much. Played through a bunch of levels last night :)

Controls are a bit awkward, I'd rather map left & right sidekicks to L and R and front gun to A so I can use them all at the same time without changing hand position, but L + R force-quits the app.... Will also need an on-screen keyboard eventually to access the special modes.

hum, I guess you're right, but I'll wait for the release of opentyrian-c4all to change that...

I'm quite happy you like that. and it will only get better with an online ladder :D

edit: in theory you can modify the Tyrian.cfg file that I should have created in $(HOME)/.opentyrian. but it's a binary file... I'm not sure of its content... it should be compatible with any other OpenTyrian port... and if that really, really bother you I guess I could manage to generate a right Tyrian.cfg file... but I'd prefer to wait for a release of the new compo4all version...

forget about my last comment, the key mapping is not the problem (there's even a menu to change that in game..) but left/right shoulder tend to trigger some nasty "close application" or "change scaler" action that will kill the game in the published vesion, but I can confirm you that this new mapping will be used in the c4all release...
speaking of which: http://skeezix.wallednetworks.com:13001/scoreboard_1/opentyrian_ep_1B/ woot, I'm first this month !

there's lot of things I'd like to fix first and we need to correctly release the project before giving the first OpenTyrian_C4all version. hopefully that will advance fast.
