There will be update shortly (I hope).
Triple buffering works but menu has unexpected problems- Exit stopped working, handy has to be killed using Power+Select (It's my fault most likely)

last version on new firmware already had that problem
it's not a tripple buffering issue at all

I was short of time, there are issues I'm not aware of. Thanks for the info.

Good to know :)
However emulator core was not updated for quite some time (like 10 years) so don't expect miracles

I renew my question: news about the Handy320 development for GCW Zero?

Hello,

I tried the differents builds (1.0, and -dev one).
I experence issues on both of them with the exit

Can I provide you some details/logs, ... to help fixing if ?

(And by the way, do you still have time to maintain this build)

Thanks a lot for your time, and your answer

If a new icon, menu background or other PNGs are needed for this emulator, I can try to give a little help! Let me know! ;)

Thanks, it's too slow though.

Probably due to software scaling, will try IPU upscaling and see if it improves performance.

Well it's definitely faster when testing Chequered flag but still struggling to hit 30fps. I'll see if I can squeeze some more performance out of it, failing that I'll have a look at frameskip.

Of course, the software scaling could be "CPU intensive" for this emulator, so with the IPU hardware scaling you should solve the performance issue!

To increase the performance you could try to manage the sound emulation (if possible), stereo/mono output and the sample rate...

Already done, switched from dual mono(!?) to mono. Yes, it currently takes the mono channel and emulates stereo!
Currently at 22kHz, may get a small performance boost by going down further but I don't think this is causing the delays.

It's running at 240fps now with the throttle off ;D
That's 0-60 in around 2 seconds, around the same as a real F1 car!

It's the throttle code causing the slowdowns.
It's now just a case of getting the correct throttle settings.
DOUBLEBUF and TRIPLEBUF settings also causing significant slowdowns.

EDIT
Now we're hitting 290fps with IPU, HWSURFACE with throttle off!
