Brutal Doom

I used Shin-NILs port of ZDoom to make Brutal doom work. Go to this youtube link and follow the instructions in the Description.

Credit to Shin-NIL for making the ZDoom port

I'm back. (for the third time) :P

Has anyone else had problems running this? Checked and rechecked that I had the config and pk and wad files in the correct locations but when I run the doom2 wad it just starts as regular doom2. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Did you rename brutal19.pk3 to brutal19.pk3.bin when you put it to /media/data/miscellaneous ?

I'm having trouble with this.

It says:

Installing
* Install the OPK;
* copy your WAD files to your device;
* add the ".bin" extension to your WADs (doom.wad -> doom.wad.bin);
* run ZDoom and then select your desired WAD to play.

So does that mean install the .wad files anywhere?

Here's what I did:

1) Downloaded ZDoom and placed it on Apps
2) Put the config file into /media/data/local/home/.config/zdoom
3) Created a new directory called "Miscellaneous" ---> /media/data/Miscellaneous
4) Put the brutal19.pk3 in there and then added .bin --- > brutal19.pk3.bin
5) I put the Doom.wad/Doom2.wad in /media/data/local/home and then added .bin ---> Doom.wad.bin / Doom2.wad.bin

The game still plays as the normal version. What am I doing wrong??

Edit: So I found out what the problem was. I had the M in Miscellaneous capitalized. It should be lowercase! After making the M lowercase, BrutalDoom19.pak works  ;D ;D ;D

EDIT 2 So I cannot hear any gun shots. I can hear the ricochet sounds and reloads but no gun shots. Is that a bug?

the audio is still an issue with ZDoom in general. No music either.
follow ZDoom development here for example, http://boards.dingoonity.org/gcw-development/zdoom/

Configuring the .pak file to play the Brutal version is problematic for me. I extracted and renamed the file it [zip>>bin to .pk3] and it appears in the same folder as the wad files do. However, all I can play is Doom 1&2. I just am not tech knowledgeable enough to do this needed reconfiguring of that file. Boo Hoo ignoramus me I guess.. :'(  ;D

Am I using the wrong version ; 17,18 0r 19?? Can anyone advise please?

I guess the easy way out would be to have enough ball sacks to ask for the proper file pm'd.
.
Maybe create a t-shirt reading ...I WILL WORK FOR FILES...maybe not. :-X

Cheers!!

So all I would have to do is download that file and just replace it on my GCW? The version I have now works ok but can't zoom or do some other minor things.
