The emulator core is almost the same, but Dingux-2600 has got a better compatibility with the games ROMs (I tried several games)...

Will this emu behave like stella and crash if there's too many roms in one folder?

And thanks for your work! :)

To make the tests I put more than 500 ROMs in a folder and the emulator worked without problems! ;)

If I remember well (but I can go wrong) the "files x folder" limit in Stella v1.0 should be 512, so it's enough to put 513 or more Atari2600 ROMs in a single folder to verify ! ;)

really loving this, its nice having save states plus it works as preview images while browsing the game list

with the added button options i'm now able to use the special weapons in spy hunter like oil slick and smoke screen  8)

I haven't seen that. Could someone point out where to put previews and what format?

When you save a state a PNG preview is generated automatically... anyway the emulator puts these snapshots in $HOME/.atari-2600/save folder.

yeah the images only show up when saving rather than using a previews folder like fba.  sorta like it this way so i can better tell which games i've played and quick delete any that aren't working.  though, guess either way i'm going to eventually go through'em all :D

another cool thing about the save/preview feature is you can basically customize the image on the fly right there within the emulator.  can't say that about fba or the other ones

Thank you Ker - great job.

Tron Deadly Discs now works for me.

I still remember finding that game in the discount bin at Kresge's for $5.00 years ago...
