Writing to folders
« on: October 10, 2019, 03:34:18 pm »
I typically drop files to my Zero using plain Filezilla but it doesn't show all of the folders so I've tried using GCW Zero Manager as well as SFTP using WinSCP, both of which show all folders.  My problem is that I can't write files to the /usr/share/ folders.  I have a ton of Gmenu2x skins that I've made over the years for the Dingoo and want to put them on the Zero but I can't create directories or write files to the /usr/share/gmenu2x/skins/ folder using anything.  I've created the password under network and log in using "root" and the generated password but still no write access.  Am I missing something?

You aren't supposed to modify the read only part of the file system. Instead, store them in the home directory.
