Broke my Zero when i tried to repair my Dpad
« on: May 06, 2016, 02:06:17 am »
So while i was repairing my dpad, i somehow broke most of the wires.
I must say, it's one of the most cheaply made consoles i have seen.
Anyone who says that the GCW Zero is easy to disassemble without breaking it must die.

The wires to the battery are... more or less cut as for the very sensible L and R shoulder buttons as well as the rumble thingy...
I did not broke the power switch nor the speakers, thankfully.

I won't be able to repair it until May 17th so do you guys have any advice on how to repair my zero ?

It's been a while since i soldered anything...

Well, it is easy to resolder the wires back to the battery; Just look at some pics on wiki to avoid inverting the wires...... And you can install the switch on the middle between battery and board to in the future unplug it easily
The LR are also easy to sold back; An soldering iron is the only required Item and maybe some small wire to replace if necessary

Hello guys,
thanks for the suggestions !
My GCW Zero now turns on, i only need to solder the L shoulder for which i have again broken the wires hahaha
However, the wires for the rumble thingy got cut on both sides...
I don't really mind since it never worked properly anyway but is there any way to solder
the wires back ?
Or do i have to order another one ?

How did you break it ?
I argued with Obama and got angry.
I got so mad i disassembled my Zero and broke all the wires.

which part of the console is broken
What was broken was the battery, the shoulder buttons and the rumble.
What's left is the L shoulder button.

which games are you playing the most ?
Does it really matter ? LOL

Oh rumble shmumble, no one needs it and it's buggy at best at the moment.
Good to see you've got everything fixed. You're contributions here are much appreciated.

Pfoo, glad to hear you managed to get your unit patched up. Rumble shouldn't be too difficult to repair later on.
