any other way to connect to gcw other then FTP?

I never understand why I can only use my GCW with ftp client.... Is there anything where I could just plug it up to a pc and transfer files? why do I need to ftp?

Long story short, the usual "mass storage" mode requires full access to the partitions of the internal SD card, which is rather problematic on a Linux system. The other thing is, the data partition is formatted as ext4, which Windows cannot use, so it would work only under Linux.

Android uses a different thing called MTP (Media Transfer Protocol, a Microsoft technology) and I've been working on integrating it. It somewhat works, but it's not 100% done yet.

damn that kinda sucks, but it makes sense.... weird since dingo works under mass storage media.
