AC Charger
« on: May 04, 2013, 04:16:56 am »
I have a FrankenZero and I've been charging it with mini usb. I'd like to get an AC charger, though. I want the lights on the side to work so I can see when it's done. What should I look for? And, will it ever be possible for the lights to work when charging with mini usb?

I get a red light when charging, via both USB and the AC power supply. When it is done, it turns off.

I am going to modify my post and redact my previous statements. Seems like the pre-production units hardware vary.

I don't think the frankenzeros light up when charging. Hardware issue I believe.

You should not charge Frankenzeros using the AC port, it causes damage to the hardware (the device won't be able to turn on by itself anymore and will require a "jump start" by supplying external power via usb/ac power).

Note that this is relevant only to the Frankenzero units (v1.1), the v2.0 board owners (SE/KS) should not worry about this, as it was fixed in this board revision.

Edit: I made a mistake with the version numbers. Now it's fixed.
