I contacted GCW by email.

It takes a month to produce and ship the consoles upon completion from China.

I have no idea where in China they are to be produced.

They are most likely made somewhere in guandong. Shenzhen is possible, but that's usually huge quantities of electronics.

I just thought of a few more questions.

How did you order the spare parts?

What is the LCD holder ((I haven't seen the internals in a teardown type of video and I'm no expert on handhelds) How does it work/fit into the console)?

The spare parts were supplied complimentary on behalf of GCW. I assume it's to assist/boost interest again in the Zero since not many suppliers are selling them right now, etc.

The holder I assume holds the actual LCD in place internally somehow... couldn't say for sure.

The problem is not the TIME to SELL them but the time it takes to get these into a sellable state.
They had sticky, squeaky, sometimes not-properly reacting DPADS and buttons. The screens were horribly dusty, the boxes look used as well... and those were the brand new factory-sealed units.

It takes about 1 hour to properly fix it (as they take long to disassemble and reassemble), and THAT's what I don't have the time for.
Selling is easy, I often ship 60 - 80 orders per day while doing my other work as well, but the GCWs are an issue...

I'll have a helper end of next week for one month, hopefully he is able to reassemble the remaining units.

That said, AFAIR I should still get 20 or 30 from GCW, so if production has resumed (and without any more issues now), I should ask them to send these to me.

Forgot how long ago it was... 1,5 - 2 years maybe.
From the last produced batch, AFAIR.
The first batch was better in these regards.

We must repeat the truth. I am the 719th on 1680 backers. I buy a GCW 4 years ago and I still don't receive my unit. He says that we are only 20 in that case...

The answer is always the same, he is honest but he has a new family disaster, nothing else.
For me, be honest is to say the reasons (time, money lack, production problems...).

Not long time ago, I read on this forum that 40 units must be saled in USA and 40 others in UK. When I sum theses with the 20 backed units (40+40+20=100), I had a hope.

Also, there's nothing that I can do with regards to obtaining you a refund from the KS campaign... I wish you the best in obtaining another unit in the near future.
