Did sleep mode ever get implemented?

I can't seem to find it anywhere and I can't believe that the system doesn't have sleep mode yet, or at least some sort of hot-key combination to turn off the screen.

Suspend to RAM is not operational at the moment (multiple underlying causes).

What about the second part, turning off the display for some powersavings whilst having the thing locked.

edit: I last checked on the zero's dev when the IPU came out for the firmware, I know that HDMI out is not coming and I'm fine with the 320x240 display but to carry it around more comfortably I'd like for it to be able to reduce power usage.

P.S. I know that the whole thing was done by devs mostly volunteering and not really getting paid much if at all so it's all on them to do the hardwork of getting the thing work and the "fun" that is a chinese builder that changes parts randomly without notice. Like how the speaker is actually mono even though there's 2 of them.
