Any news of a good GCW replacement?

I've been wanting to get a new GCW Zero for over a year now (mine broke).  Due to the lack of availability, I'm starting to look for an alternative. 

I'm not too interested in Android devices, but I'll go that route if I have to.

Any news of something new for the market?

There's the DragonBox Pyra coming out and it looks like it is going to be even superior to the Pandora.
It will be quite expensive tho.

You could also, if you are courageous (as much as apple anyway lol), buy a Neo Geo X and put OpenDingux on it.
This should allow you to play all the GCW0 games.
The only difference is the bigger, wider, screen resolution. (PSP-like)

If you can buy a PS Vita with firmware 3.60 and put Henkaku on it then i guess it might be a good alternative if you only care about emulation.

Wow, I didnt know the Neo Geo X had an Opendingux port, thats amazing.  Too bad you can't find them for under $200.  I'm also not a fan of the fact it only has an Analog stick, and no Dpad

I've read up on the Pyra.  I'm not interested.  Far too expensive for what I'd be using it for (GBA, SNES, MAME, etc).

I've been considering finding a 3.60 Vita, and that is probably what I'll do if there is not a new "turn-key" emulation system announced in the next while.

It's actually not an analog stick, it's an 8 way digital joystick.

I had a support chat conversation with @EvilDragon from Dragonbox.de a few days ago and he says that he has an order of GCW Zeros. He is just checking them all for defects before he puts them up for sale on his shop. He said that they should be available sometime this month.
