Minecraft is probably impossible to port. Someone feel free to argue otherwise.

The game whose video Surkow linked to is a great clone of Flappy Bird made from scratch for the GCW Zero by our very own talented coder, Nebuleon.  It's called Hocoslamfy and can be downloaded here: http://www.gcw-zero.com/file.php?file=hocoslamfy-od.opk

My high score is 93 hehe try to beat that.

Here is the forum thread for its release:   http://boards.dingoonity.org/gcw-releases/hocoslamfy/

If the java runtime with opengl support could run well on the zero it should be possible... but I wouldnt count on that

As I recall and don't quote me on this, the current Java implementation runs at about the equivalent of 10 to 20mhz in PC standards.

When Java on the Zero is farther developed maybe it would be possible or maybe a port of DSCraft is something that could be done rather than minecraft

Great... My very first post and I ended up necro-bumping.
I'm sorry! I'll avoid doing this in the future!

There is a minecraft clone developed for the Nintendo DS. I've got it on an R4 Homebrew cart. I don't believe that we could end up with an exact copy of like Minecraft, like the current 1.8. But I don't think it's impossible. Finding someone who wants to do it on the other hand might be the impossible part.

These are the requirements for Minecraft.

Minimum Requirements:
CPU: Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 (K8) 2.6 GHz
RAM: 2GB
GPU (Integrated): Intel HD Graphics or AMD (formerly ATI) Radeon HD Graphics with OpenGL 2.1
GPU (Discrete): Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT or AMD Radeon HD 2400 with OpenGL 3.1
HDD: At least 200MB for Game Core and Other Files
Java 6 Release 45

Recommended Requirements:
CPU: Intel Core i3 or AMD Athlon II (K10) 2.8 GHz
RAM: 4GB
GPU: GeForce 2xx Series or AMD Radeon HD 5xxx Series (Excluding Integrated Chipsets) with OpenGL 3.3
HDD: 1GB
Latest release of Java 7 from java.com

With these in mind, it wouldn't be possible to port the standard release, but a pocket release, like that of IOS, may be possible. I don't know what the requirements are for the pocket release off of the top of my head.

No source code, no port.

The closest you are going to get is either a minecraft clone or the 2d version

How does a Adamant Armor Affection Adventure to [GCW zero] port is going?

I have pocket minecraft on my low-spec phone and yndplis g19. Mobile version is quite fine on <1GHz. But if you want endless worlds feature on and like to travel - you need quite solid hardware.

As long as there is OpenGL, Minetest will work. It is a clone of minecraft if you couldn't figure that out :)

There isn't OpenGL. Plus, it's heavy on dependencies and requires the Irrlicht engine.
