Don't know if it could be ported, but looks like it support 320*200 resolution, has a variety of Linux versions and sources, of course!

I've looked into it once - it can't be easily ported, as right now the game is written to always compile the OpenGL routines. So while technically the game can run without using OpenGL, some code would need to be rewritten to allow for OpenGL-less compilation.

I also thought about taking a look at it, and also posted earlier at the OpenXCom forum. I haven't had time, though (and won't probably have until maybe August / September), and it's probably somewhat over my skills. Well, I was thinking about learning something while at it, anyways ;D.
