Port Request: Neverball

Neverball is an open source 3D action puzzle game. The current stable version was released around five years ago. The latest source code has a lot of improvements, so porting from it might be a better idea. It would be a nice GCW game either way.

I agree, I think someone already suggested it before somewhere (IRC? I don't remember...). Don't have time myself currently (and it might be above my porting skills). But I think the changes of it happening eventually are high 8)

There's a lot of OpenSource games that could be ported (than already run at <=320x240 resolution, but also some for higher resolutions like 640x480, that could probably downscale easily, for example Defendguin would probably be an excellent addition to the GCW Zero library). Yesterday I also found about dunelegacy, I think that would be quite doable and an excellent idea to port (although Dune II is runnable in DosBOX, a native port will run more smoothly, drain less battery and have more features, customizable etc...).

It was me, here, suggesting it as a possible implementation for the Gsensor.


Defendguin would probably be an excellent addition to the GCW Zero library

There's already a (legacy) Dingux port, just needs an upgrade to OD.

Yesterday I also found about dunelegacy
Dunelegacy will be a problem, because they kept the original antipiracy system, which requires the full keyboard to operate. They wouldn't be happy if we removed it from the GCW0 build. Otherwise, I used to run early builds of this game on Dingoo A320 and it was close to fullspeed in there, so it should run well on the GCW0.
