Metroid / A Link to the Past Randomized

I was just curious if anyone was able to get the Metroid-A Link to the Past randomized rom to play on the GCW? I have the rom and can run it on my Windows machine and Pi but it seems like none of the emulators on the GCW will run it. The best I can get is the title screen and game select from Metroid to load but the game won't load after that. I've tried the PocketSnes and Snes9x emulators on my GCW. No biggie if I can't get it running on the GCW as I'm hoping to score a GPi case at the end of the month when they go on sale but was hoping to be able to start playing it soon. Thanks.

I just tried it on the RG350 and it worked with snes9x 1.60. (https://samus.link/) I renamed the long filename to mario.sfc. I used microsoft edge to save the sfc file from the site. Just mentioning for others who happen to browse the thread. I used the two mentioned required game roms to generate a game, I did not download an existing combined rom.
