:-\ I tried using the same instructions as in the post: Quake II works on latest firmware (with some trickery!), but with no luck on getting these games to work. Both crash upon trying to start. Does anyone have a solution to this yet? Someone has already fixed quake2.opk, can they do the same for these two?

Check this OPK by pcercuei without any trickery - http://boards.dingoonity.org/gcw-games-and-homebrew/quake-ii/msg104677/#msg104677

Look at manual by Nebuleon for Streets Of Rage Remake v5a - http://boards.dingoonity.org/gcw-releases/streets-of-rage-remake-v5a/msg106389/#msg106389

Please, try to use search before ask something...

::)  I've already stated the title of that post within my question: "Quake II works on latest firmware (with some trickery!)", which would infer that I had tried that technique and it didn't work. I did a search and found no other answer. They've already re-posted a fixed quake2.opk, because the zip-extraction folder technique didn't work for everyone. I applied the same procedure to kofv5.opk and SORRv5a, but they both crash back to the games menu.

Two things on this: Everyone has the exact same device with same soft and hardware (except for the wifi chip wich is in this case not interesting) -> if something works for someone it will work for everyone. Why this does not happen is because many guys here are not very skilled in linux and common tasks on the pc. So either wait for a proper release or try to learn something about bash / ssh and the chmod command. In this particular case, if you unpack the opk to the external sd you don't need to chmod+x on the internal sd you need to change rights. Search on the forum about that.

Zephyrus, I realize that if a technique works for one person it should work for another  :D. That's common sense here. One thing I didn't try is sending the unpacked opk to the external sd which helps clarify my problem. I was sending the folder of each game to the internal memory. I will repost if this works for me, and if it doesn't I will gladly wait for these two games to be fixed for the latest firmware  8).

Ok, I just tried to go through my external sd and it didn't work either. I added a link in games menu and added kofv5.dge and clicked start on the link and it crashed back into games menu.  ???, I am just going to wait for the games to be fixed, or for the firmware to be updated to fix the issue.
