Will some of these likely loose compatability?
Games compiled with Dingux legacy/OpenDingux toolchain for A320 will not work with GCW Zero because we:
1) have switched from soft-float to hard-float (hardware accelerated floating point calculations using the dedicated FPU unit)
2) a lot of libraries in the rootfs have been updated and games compiled against the older versions might not work anymore
That said, some of the software does not use floating point and it's library usage remains compatible, and that is when this software might still work on GCW0.
It should be noted that all we need to do to make A320 games work with GCW0 will be in most cases a simple recompilation using our GCW0 toolchain.
I should discourage anybody from running or hoping to run verbatim any A320 compiled binaries on GCW0. They were not designed to run on GCW0 and we take no responsibility for any misbehaviour of them.
Moreover, all the GCW0 software is designed to run in opk format. The old way of running the software is still available, but we don't endorse it and you should not hope for our support if any issues occur.
We in GCW devteam believe that software running on our device should be always of top quality. That's why when we port a game to GCW0 we not just recompile it, but often fix the bugs, refine the button mapping and overall polish the software. That's another reason why you should stay away from the old A320 binaries and rather wait for us to properly port it to GCW0.
