Thomson TO7 port [WIP]
« on: June 02, 2014, 10:42:33 am »
dingux-thom port to GCW0

Tasks done:
- Recompiled with GCW0 toolchain
- Removed chipset and cpu references
- Removed not necessary menu options
- Moved config/data to $HOME folder
- Updated help.txt and PNGs (thanks to @Gab1975)
- Unified emulator menu button implemented. You can use Power slider or Start+Select to enter menu (more info here)
- Last used rom path saved in new config file (different for k7 and disk)
- On screen error messages if needed roms not found (**)
- Solved file browser refresh problem

Download: http://www.mediafire.com/download/qm69d2l7obro17y/dingux-thom.opk

Sources: https://github.com/kerheol/dingux-thom

(**)You should put cd90-640.rom and to770.rom files in $HOME/.thom/rom directory
(**)You should put basic.m7 and basic128.m7 files in $HOME/.thom/memo7 directory

Feedback and advices are welcome. Enjoy!

I have no idea what a Thomson TO7 is, but I just wanted to take the time to thank you for all your hard work!
And even thought I can't actually code anything in Linux/C I was wondering if you upload the sources to github or somewhere? Would be fun to browse through what changes are made to make it work =)

Anyhow, Thanks!

I'm in the same situation. A user in Dingoonity ask me to port this emulator but I didn't have any experience with it. He/she told me it was a common system in France in the 80s because it was used to learn computers at primary school...

And yes, of course. I'll upload sources to github as soon as the emulator will be ready enough to move it to releases thread (as I always do ;-)

Technically, you should release them the moment you release the first public binary based on that code. Especially that in the post above you got a request for the code (assuming this emulator is licensed on GPL).
