PdfViewer 0.92 beta
« on: January 06, 2015, 06:04:30 pm »
This is PdfViewer v0.92, a PDF documents reader created for GPH handhelds and ported now for the GCW Zero console. Supports all type of documents with graphics and text, and it's quite fast managing this format. This is a beta version wich can have bugs or provisional stuff. I wish you try it and say me if works in your console.

You can move across the page, move to another page and zoom in and out. Use the analog joystick to make zoom in documents, pushing up to magnify and down to reduce. Press Select to show the menu for loading files and setting the options. Use a very good fonts from Ghostscript with smooth filter, wich makes a better reading.

To install the application, you must to copy the .OPK file in the Apps folder of the SD card. You can put the documents in another folder or where you like. If you see some important error I want to know for fix it.

I hope you like it.

Hi Hardyx,

Thanks for this port, it was on my todo list so I'm very happy today  ;D.

Could you please link to the source code?

The Options dialog states "(B) Accept, (A) Cancel", while the actual actions are A = Accept and B = Cancel (as they should be). The text should be adjusted.

I have nothing else to report. This is a pretty solid port.

You are right, I'll fix in final version.

Just a few suggestions,

Could you save the working folder, current pdf file and current page number when you quit so when you reopen the file in the same place later on?
Could you configure L-SP and R-SP to page-up/down when searching directories?
Also when selecting files, could you press up at the top of the list to get to the bottom and vice versa?

Thank you for a PDF reader.
Hopefully this becomes a release, in a way that it comes with firmware.
Only reason I'm saying that, is that for new users of the Zero, they can have a help file in PDF format! :)
(Not like we can read it on the computer, lol...)

A while ago I made a few changes to the code to speed up panning, add A-stick support etc.

Here's the result. Let me know if anything else is required.
