Hello,

I've developed a Sudoku game for the GCW0 and I'm releasing an alpha version to you guys for you to play and if you want, provide some input.

Well I've finished a game on the 'easy' difficulty, and easy sudokus usually don't require writing candidate numbers all over the grid after placing 2 definite numbers. But your Web site does note that the difficulty levels are not well calibrated.

Given the emphasis placed on putting candidate numbers all over the grid, why not make Y toggle between annotation mode and definite number mode, and in annotation mode, not lock the entry to one cell? That would make moving around the grid in annotation mode so much easier.

For completeness, I'll also post this here: the auto-saving doesn't work if the application is killed (or the console runs out of battery) during the game; you have to have pressed Start to exit the game for it to be auto-saved.

Heya, I'm not dead, just been busy somewhere else. I'm working on the sudoku generation algorithm. Also here is my little list of stuff to do:


Don't hesitate to propose features that you fell adequate or submit bug reports, thanks !

Also, the easy and medium difficulty of the alpha version are both solvable without annotation, even if very fastidious in the medium difficulty. The hard difficulty will often generate grids that are not solvable without hypothesis.

Since I definitely don't spend enough time on it, here is a new version with various bugfixes, but not a good enough level system yet I'm afraid.

So here is version 0.5

Cool! I was thinking one of the things the Zero needed was a Sudoku game. I haven't played Sudoku in a long time. I'll have to download this and try it out.

It plays well, I particularly like that you allow pencilling in small numbers, it helps greatly with the more challenging puzzles.

Would it be possible to play some relaxing background music?
