MilkyTracker port
« on: December 06, 2014, 06:39:14 am »
I'm currently working on a port of MilkyTracker.

Right now this is just a quick build; I don't have my GCW Zero yet, so I won't get to test it until Monday night.

If it actually works at this stage, I'm not sure whether any input will work, although you may be able to use a USB mouse or keyboard, or the GCW's mouse emulation.

Quick test, it works great with mouse emulation :)

By the way, here are the controls as they are now:

Joy: nothing (planned mouse)
Dpad: arrow keys
L: TAB (skip channels right)
R: BACKSPACE (delete note)
A: CTRL
B: ALT
X: SHIFT
Y: SPACE (toggle focus)
Start: RET (start playback)
Select: ESC (stop playback)

You can read up on some useful shortcuts:
http://www.milkytracker.org/docs/MilkyTracker.html

I'm working right now on changing the mappings; perhaps with some modifier keys to add in some functionality; this is only the default since the GCW0 keys are by default keyboard presses.

Here's an updated binary (not OPK) with joystick mouse movement.

You will still need to use the GCW's mouse emulation mode at this point since I haven't implemented mouse buttons yet.

Mouse button code is in the works; still too buggy at this point.

EDIT: Mouse button code is finished; now it's time for keybindings. I should have an OPK build up tonight.

NEW OPK

What's new:
Proper controls! Joystick now controls mouse and proper button mapping.
Proper icon

Todo:
Perhaps input mapping config file?
Manual
USB mouse may not work (should be an easy fix)
Key repetition
Clean up the sourcecode and post it on on github
