Dpad emulation with inclination sensor
« on: March 16, 2015, 10:40:20 am »
Could it be possible to create an app that enables a sort of dpad emulation for the inclination sensor? I mean, once it's active, inclining the console to the right is the same as pressing the dpad left key. This could be configurable, as well as a dead zone and the option that key remains pressed while the console is inclined. This could mean you could play a game like this (Camel Try) by inclining the console left and right. An what about controlling breakout games this way?

The kind of game from your youtube clip won't play good with a g-sensor, because you'll be rotating both your unit and the camera in-game. For this to work, the camera would need to be static and not moving.

Also, g-sensor is already acting as a joystick device, so it should be very easy for an emulator author to add support for it.
