Bullet hell games?
« on: October 03, 2013, 01:30:31 am »
Is anyone aware of any bullet hell-style shmups that can be played on a GCW Zero?  I'm looking for something homebrew or otherwise.

I played one years ago on an emulator -- probably MAME (I don't really recall) -- and it was ridiculous fun.  The game used super hero-like characters and was entirely in Japanese.  But I'm getting off track.

I like bullet hell-style a lot better than typical shmups (typical being: R-Type, Zanac, Phalanx, etc).  Does anyone happen to know of any floating around out there?

Thanks!

I love the bullet-hells, too.
For homebrew, right now i'd say noiz2SA.
the FBA emulator can run some great arcade manic-shooters, like DodonPachi, espgaluda, Progear, etc.

Don't forget the AeroFighters/SonicWings games for the Neo Geo.

Also, there is the Chariot game inside the Three Wonders game, for CPS1.

Blazing Star for Neo Geo is pure classic, and the entire Cave series works awesome with the FBA emulator ..... great bullet hell games btw.... I am also a bullet hell fanatic.

i know this topic is a little old,
but if'n ya wanna dodge some serious bullets, then I heartily recommend the NES title Recca (with the Pure patch) on Zanki Attack mode.
