Here's a quick port of Arnold for the GCW0.
Arnold is an Amstrad CPC emulator by Kevin Thacker.
This GCW0 port was targeted for GX4000 and cartridge games, as they are already optimized for console-play.
It runs smoothly, the only problem is that scrolling is choppy and not emulated properly.
Maybe if someone can fix this, it would be great.

Just want to say thanks for this. I love seeing the more obscure consoles being emulated and this is a great start to the port.

No probs.
Hopefully i can gather more feedback for this emulator.
(cause so far, no one other than you said anything about it)

Every game I have tried does not get past the "ready" blue screen.
-
so out of interest, what feedback are you looking for? I can look into game compatibility if you like. Limiting it to GX4000 makes that a lot easier too.

This only runs cartridge games, aka .CPR files.
This does not run disquette games.

Yeah, compatibillity, display issues. (it's shifted differently depending on the game), bugs etc...
Btw, you can now try out C4CPC convertions too at cpc-wiki.eu.

Cheers mate, Looking forward to checking it out

Could it be possible to map other buttons than A and B to original Amstrad keys? Some CPC games were converted to GX4000 but the lack of keys makes them unplayable =(

I'm very confused by your comment. The GX4000 gamepad only has 3 butons : A, B and Start. (mapped as P)
If the CPC games were properly converted, this should not be an issue.
Some of them though might use the 2nd joystick, in this case it won't work.
Maybe i'll work at this in the future (or never hahahaha)

Yes, I know it's a weird comment :)
As you say, converted games are adapted to A and B buttons, but some games need more keys and the conversions use button combination not easy to use.
I don't know if the emulator can emulate others key press, but these games usually had "normal" keys as default in ingame config so perhaps they can work emulated...

Amstrad CPC 464. My first and most favourite gaming system of all. Great games and memories. No other gaming machine came close to providing me with so much fun and enjoyment as Amstrad (computer) did.
Thanks for the port gameblabla. Hope someone can sort out the scrolling issues on this console version.

@gameblabla
Have you looked into making a minimal mess core?

I told you last time : MESS (now MAME) doesn't compile due to some dependencies not compiling with the toolchain.
