Volume and Brightness Settings und Open Dingux
« on: January 02, 2014, 03:02:51 pm »
My Gamegadget arrived today and the first thing I tried was to put an OpenDingux Local pack on it, runs fine, with the exception of the Volume and Brightness Settings. On te Dingoo A320 these settings were controlled by holding the power button and pressing the buttons. This isn't possible on the Gamegadget, the volume settings can be controlled with the Mixer, so my question is, is there a program for OpenDingux to control the brightness settings or can anybody tell me where these settings are stored?

I have received my GameGadget a few days ago, I have tried a tutorial to put OpenDingux on it, it fails at boot time, the sandbox appears but blinks, then OpenGadget boots.

Could you share the tutorial you have to put OpenDingux on a SD card ? It would be very useful.

I can't even boot with the sandbox only  :-*

I insert SHDC card of 16GB then I format it and unzip the sandbox on the card:

    mkfs.vfat /dev/sdb1
    mount -t vfat /dev/sdb1 /media/flash_drive_sdb1
    unzip /home/thocar/Downloads/sandbox_0.9.4.zip -d /media/flash_drive_sdb1
    sync

The sandbox appears at boot time then it blinks then it boots on regular opengadget system.

I have tried with sandbox 0.9.5 too. I have tried with SDHC minicard 32GB, also with SD 2GB.

Have you tried to copy the rootfs file first and after that the rest of the Sandbox archive?

Alternatively you can try if OpenDingux works, copy the Open Dingux from treewalker.org to the root of your SD card and after that, copy a local pack on the card. This worked for me.

Try with a smaller capacity sd card. I found some reports of the GameGadget having trouble with cards of capacity above 4 gigas! And don?t forget to format it, using Windows, to FAT 32!

And in respect of the sound problem you should try the last version of OpenDingux. It have a sound mixer program and you can control the volume there.
