New to GameGadget
« on: September 03, 2015, 01:13:14 pm »
Hello, I'm new to this forum so... hello :-)

I've bought a GameGadget right now, because I want to play some specific games from neogeo and mame.
My research took me to this handheld.

I have some question, if you can answer me or guide me to a tutorial...
1) where is the software? is for pc or also mac?
2) what I must to to have the neogeo and mame emulator work (file, coding, ...)?
3) I need to update some sort of firmware?

Thanks!

Hi zak84,
unfortunely, you're basically on your own.
The only thing i found that could be useful is this.
GameGadget's homebrew scene is basically as dead as the Gizmondo's one, except not as fondly remembered.
I wish i could get my hands on the SDK so i could port my gcw0 software to it but
i can't find anything GameGadget related, it's that sad.
Sorry to hear you bought this piece of crap.

This is the toolchain I used, for Windows:

http://sience.schattenkind.net/dingoo/Dingux_Toolchain_for_Windows.htm

It compiles for Dingux or Game Gadget.

Here's some source code to test it with:

I know it can be hard, to find something.
But this "piece of crap" is the exact thing I need, if I make neogeo work, I will be super happy

I don't have a GG so i would suggest to follow the link i gave you and download it.
The pack has a Neo Geo emulator so you should be happy.
If you have any problems, read the thread.
Sorry i can't help you further but you'll have to figure it out with the instructions.

Ah, so a standard dingoo toolchain should work just fine then ?
