uNGP 0.4 Summer Preview

This is the new version of uNGP, now with some changes in emu and uGUI, which has been revised almost all the code, many parts has been rewritten. Dingoo bin hasnt been tested on Opendingux, if someone test it let me know if it runs.


Here's principal changes:

   - Solved some bugs in blitter and frameskip code.
   - A little increase speed.
   - Changed Autofire code.
   - Changed the code about syncing and fps counter in emu.
   - Changes code when a game is not really a NGP game.
   - First public Caanoo bin.

Your binary segfaults on OpenDingux.
Please check if:
- You're using OSS directly instead of SDL for the sound
- You're using /dev/mem somewhere on your code
- You're using /proc/jz or another non-standard path name

Many thanks! I'm  gonna have a look for replacement in code in order to get it running.

I'm also looking for a compiled kernel, I found this web http://www.treewalker.org/dingux/cpufreq.html is there another with more actual compiled version?

In Submenu "misc options" increase the value for Key lag, by default is 7. Maybe you are using it overwritting the old version, in this case better "reset config" or delete the file config.cfg in saves folder.

but i find a little problem...
on the "input options",in fact "set button x" is "set button y","set button A" is "set button B". it need exchange....

Great. Remarkable speed improvement compared to version 0.3.

But the keys do not work as expected on my Dingoo (Dingux). The keys are in turbo mode in Neo Cherry Master Color and Sonic the Hedgehog is unplayable as well. I installed the emulator in a new directory, no config file(s) from the old version. Tried several settings, no success so far.

Like Caanoo bin, there's a bug in some games with keypress, now it's solved, these days are gonna be published 0.4 rev with the bug fixed.

uPCE0.6 have a little problem...it cant save "roms path"...if can save roms path,it will wonderful..

Excellent work!  I've just finished Capcom vs SNK Card Fighters Clash on my real NGPC so I'm hoping to be able to play through the fan translation of the sequel on my Dingoo.  The actual emulation is great, nice and fast and sounds good as well.  The key are pretty messed up however.  There doesn't seem to be a way of mapping anything to the "option" button, the NGPC's version of the select key, which is crucial for some games.  Although the menu says that A is mapped to A and B is mapped to B, they're actually the other way round in game.  Also, autofire always seems to be on, no matter what you set it to in options.  And it's fast.  Like, when I try to enter my name I press A on "G" and the entire name fills up GGGGGGGGG and then take me to the next screen.  Changing keypad lag in settings only seems to change the speed within the GUI.

I can confirm Card Fighters 2 Expand Edition fans translation (5-03-08 revision) works great on Dingux uNGP. To bring the men? for Deck arrangement just use the Y button.

Great, the button problem in Neo Cherry and Sonic is solved in version 0.4b. Thanks.  :)

There are still some button related problems. A and B in the input settings is swapped. The (saved) button settings are not memorized when restarting the emulator.

Of course it's not for native os. It's even in the Dingux part of the forums.

This was the main reason for me to get a Dingoo, to use it as a "backlight NGPC portable" (and to spend the money saved on the ridiculously expensive but brilliant Faselei! cartridge  on the Dingoo) ;).

Nice !!! With a light and so cute GUI. Should be a standard for emulator...
