You need to edit the shortcut and switch on the file selector (and specify a selector directory). :)

If you have a problem with an app. you can turn on logging the console by dmenu2x - configuration. If the app has any problem when starting you can view this log for possible informations (of couse the app must output console informations).

Just a small note.

Special Chip C4 is working. I can play Mega Man X 2 and 3 :-).

Currently only with 10fps. But i think i can improve it to ~20-25fps to get it playable.

I found a little bug,

At first i thought you had centered the screen vertically (what would be good =), but
About 8 lines of pixels are cropped on top of the screen, this bug does not happen when in fullscreen.
It is easier to identify if you load a game that uses a Hud on top, like Metroid or Castlevania 4.

Yes i also noticed that. Currently don't know why. In fullscreen everything is ok. Even in unscaled highres-mode everything is ok.

Thanks for report, i will take a look into it :).

Is anyone else able to set -fs or -fullscreen as a parameter when loading a game so it will be fullscreen? It used to work but it seems to have stopped. Can someone else test please

...but it can only be speedup, when SA-1 emulation is implemented native in MIPS Assembler. But i wont and cant do this...

if you try speed up the Snes core instead, the average speed should increase, doesn't it? Besides, most of games will speed up since they don't use extra chips, thinking about cost/benefit, It would be a good deal.

Just a smile from me. What you mean with Snes core :-)?

If games dont use extra chips, this routines are never touched ;-), so no slow downs for this games.

I'm sorry I must have expressed wrong. Doesn't the games which use chips use both the chip and Snes hardware? If you optimize some specific parts of emulator which is aimed for Snes hardware only , Doesn't it would speed up the average speed of games which use chips?
Don't get me wrong, I am the noob here  ;D.
Or Did you already optimize everything and I didn't know that? (I am moving for gmenu2x now, I didn't manage how to make some things to work, even your emulator is not running yet...)

By the way, thanks for such work!

In gmenu2x you have to press SELECT on the emu icon and Edit the preferences of the emu. Turn Selector ON and also select a rom directory. Afterwards it works.
Also turn on logging in gmenu2x configuration. After a fail, you can take a look at the log.txt file in configuration menu.

Snes9x is already optimized.

hmm, so, is it impossible to improve the sound or the speed more than it?
