No... I know what Python is, I've made a few (useless) applications (CLI and GUI) with it. But AFAIK you need a separate GUI... like PyZenity or TK... Zear (http://boards.dingoonity.org/dingux-general/%28suggested-app%29-dictionary-for-dingux/?topicseen) just said it uses GTK+... so PyGTK would work, but this doesn't seem to make sense.

So after looking at Wikipedia I see that what I mean is... what widget toolkit (a library of basic elements for building a graphical user interface (GUI)) will work on Dingux? ???

Currently there is no widget toolkit. But GTK is reported to work. But i think its too heavy. PyGame is a chance.

GTK actually works smoothly on JLiMe (OpenEmbedded-based alternative GNU/Linux distribution) for the NanoNote, which has a slower processor than the Dingoo, and the Dingoo can be overclocked safely up to 430 MHz. Navigating the form without a keyboard could be hard, but then again, SiENcE's mouse emulation could help alleviate the problem.

The source code is probably open, have a look at the JLiMe website, or ask a couple of questions in #jlime on FreeNode IRC, and I'm sure you'd get the source code for GTK.

I also heard some rumors about a possible JLiMe port to the Dingoo. You didn't hear it from me, but you could ask about that in #jlime aswell :)

I released Python 2.5 for Dingux V3.

Python is now dynamically linked and so the size is now only 30mb for the full package :-).

I also included all header files, so you can add this to your toolchain and link against the library (libpython2.5.so).

i hope you like it.

In Russian Dingoo a320 fan site http://a320.emulate.su/2010/08/16/python-2-5-v3/ , suggest to put next script:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:/usr/local/sbin/main:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH (not: export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH ), don't know why.
