All you have to do is format you memory card to fat 32 before you copy files over you won't have a problem then works all the time.

Well, I've been running OD on NAND for months now.
The only thing it needs, is an installer.

I assume you somehow managed to do without an installer. How hard is it to DIY without a binary installer? Also is USB file transfer plug-and-play? I run OS X and have some minor understanding of Terminal. Also have Windows 7 on a notebook, but I find it did not really work well with the previous OpenDingux releases (usb connectivity-wise).

Doesnt work for me, ive tried numerous cards formatted fat 32,still no joy.
Ive tried cards from 2gb to 8gb all formatted to fat. 32 and it just hangs at dingux screen.

"Port" is not a correct word, it should be "write from scratch".
a320e and a380 are based on another SOC - JZ4755 which is different from JZ4740 on which a320 is based. Opendingux doesn't have any support for jz4755 AT ALL. So you can imagine how many efforts should be put in writing it from scratch. Ingenic patches for jz4755 are for old version of kernel (2.6.34) and they can't be applied to v3.3. En plus, Ingenic's code is horrible and not unix-way.

Make sure you copy the rootfs and zimage files first after the format then you can copy what you want and make sure you have renames the two files as stated on the opendingux page.

USB storage doesn't work at all, it needs some serious work. But we have plans for it.
Also, we already wrote a new bootloader designed for the jz4740, called UBIBoot. That's what I use to boot OD directly from the NAND.

I've touched up the OpenDingux Emulators page on the wiki. I added some of the recent releases and added a column where we can note if the item works in the current OD release.

I've personally tested several emulators, and marked them as working. If you've installed and run any other emulators on the list I'd appreciate it if you'd mark them as working as well. I'd like to get the Wiki in shape and keep it useful for newcomers.

Edit: link issues

Raygan,
correct the link, please.

Also, why not filling up the games section? Some pages back there's a list of working games/apps.

Anybody can edit the wiki. Just use your existing forum login/password. If you see an opportunity, dive in there!  ;)

Thanks jutley ive tried that.

Ive used a blank sd card, formatted it fat32,then renamed the rootfs.bin and zImage
files and put only these two files on my fat32 formatted sd card and then booted while pressing the select button and it just hangs on the dingux screen.

Zdoom has no sound, even in legacy dingux.

While in NativeOS, can you see the contents of this SD card? Maybe the card/slot is broken.

Another reason could be mis-downloaded/damaged files. Check the md5sum of the zImage file. It should be:
Code: [Select]

Did you do anything special to get Dingux2600 working on the latest OD? When I try to launch it I see the splash screen and then it immediately kicks me back to OD.
