Midnight Commander & YTree
« on: September 24, 2010, 12:33:49 pm »
I've just crosscompiled two file managers - Midnight Commander & YTree.
They wont work as a Dingux file manager (though ytree coud be adapted, methink)
but still, they are great tools for work when conneted via telnet.

You can get it here : http://uploading.com/files/1881e2f7/mc_ytree_dingux.zip/

Installation : ftp or copy the archive to 'local' folder, then telnet to dingoo, go to /usr/local and unzip it.

Hey steev,

great additions. Thanks!

Maybe i should do a 3rd party section on my download page for such tools? I have an own server with lots of bandwidth.

cheers

Something like this is already here: http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/dingoo.cgi?0,0,0,0,116,163
If you have any additional tools, just update it with a newer version ;)

Can you share ./configure options?

Can you share ./configure options?
For GLIB (2.22.5) :

export LDFLAGS='/opt/mipsel-linux-uclibc/usr/lib/libutf8.a'
export PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR="/opt/mipsel-linux-uclibc/usr/lib/pkgconfig"
./configure --host=mipsel-linux --target=mipsel-linux --build=i686-linux --prefix=/opt/mipsel-linux-uclibc/usr \
    --disable-silent-rules  --disable-selinux --disable-fam --enable-static --cache-file=mips.cache

For mc itself (4.6.2) :

export LIBS=' /opt/mipsel-linux-uclibc/usr/lib/libutf8.a -liconv '
export PKG_CONFIG_LIBDIR="/opt/mipsel-linux-uclibc/usr/lib/pkgconfig"

./configure --host=mipsel-linux --target=mipsel-linux --build=i686-linux   \
            --disable-glibtest --disable-nls --disable-rpath --disable-netcode \
            --with-glib-static --with-included-gettext --without-x --without-gpm-mouse \
            --prefix=/usr/local --enable-static --cache-file=mips.cache \
             --without-libintl-prefix --with-screen=mcslang

(script says so, but i think it shoud be 'ncurses' here... strange)

libutf8 : http://www.haible.de/bruno/packages-libutf8.html

To be honest - there could be more libs to port (i'm not sure about libgnuintl for example :)
