It's an unofficial build from git. The news originates from here:
http://a320.emulate.su/2013/03/19/svezhee-yadro-i-obraz-kornevoj-fs-dingoo-a320-opendingux/

The kernel is built for ili9331

This build you linked isn't official nor supported.

An official update for A320 will come soon. The kernel won't be updated much (the current OD kernel is already quite good and optimized), but the rootfs will have a lot of changes that were initially developped for GCW0.

And officiality on what depends? From that who compiles?  ;)

1) There might be unofficial changes that impact the stability
2) Security risk - you don't know if there aren't any rootkits inside

Any changes should be sent back to us, reviewed and then merged with the mainline code.

Then it is official release, because it is compile from source without any changes.  :)
Rootkit in Dingoo A320? What for?
To withdraw money from the account?  ;D

Official release means a release made by its authors. Between two releases, OD often gets some new but experimental features (e.g. FM radio), that are present on the releases only when fully working, stable, and easy to use.

After using Open Dingux for a month or so, I've found one bug which is really difficult to replicate.

It's only happened twice, the second time today.

Sometimes the sound goes crazy: I had just finished a game in MAME, selected a new game and suddenly the sound was playing random stuff, fairly loud - and continues to do so. I think I may have been sliding volume up or down using the powerswitch daemon.

Anyone else had this issue?
Any sound issues been addressed in the upcoming OD release?

It happened to me a lot of times, while using gnuboy. It seems that it happens while I was entering and quitting a lot of games in short period of time. Not sure how would I replicate the bug with 100% success, but that is the way I would manage it.

Let's say that currently it is not, as we're mainly working on the Zero version. But we still want to update the A320 version at some point.
