Fceux for dingoo
« on: May 27, 2012, 11:28:38 pm »
Hello!
I've built latest fceux from svn, added autoframeskip and stripped some unnecessary stuff.
Tested on OpenDingux, but should work on legacy dingux too.
If you used fceu320 previously, please delete $HOME/.fceux/fceux.cfg

Currently there is no GUI so use gmenu2x's file selector.
Press L to exit.
Enjoy!

It doesn't work in my Dingoo. I've deleted $HOME/.fceux folder but it just crashes back to desktop after selecting a rom.

The log says:
"terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::ios_base::failure'
what{}: basic_ios::clear
Aborted"

EDIT: I use the second developers pre-relese, maybe it works in a newer build?

Doesn't work for me in Dingux. I tried both to pass it a ROM file name, and executing the file directly.
And I did that:

If you used fceu320 previously, please delete $HOME/.fceux/fceux.cfg

Try to set SDL.DoubleBuffering = 0 in $HOME/.fceux/fceux.cfg

Didn't work. It looks like the emu is crashing before creating the fceux.cfg file, so i created it manually and added that line, but I get the same error. Probably creating the file with only that line is not the best thing to do. Can yo upload your fceux.cfg?

EDIT: It DOES create some subfolders inside $HOME/.fceux/ and they're all empty. Maybe that helps in some way.

Also, can you upload the source? Maybe I can help searching what's wrong.

Would be nice if you guys can report what version of Dingux/OpenDingux kernel/rootfs you are using.

It works for me with unreleased OpenDingux, btw.

Hey guys

Code: [Select]
Do not install these pre-releases if:

you would be upset if your favorite game or emulator does not run

Do you tried Legacy Dingux?

Not upset, just providing feedback! If the dev doesent hear about problems, how will they ever be fixed? :-)
I havent tried under Legacy, I do most of my NES under native with DingooNES.

We are not upset, we are not complaining about OpenDingux or FCEUX and we are not trying to find "where" does this build work.

We are giving feedback to ValdikSS so he/we could find why this doesn't work on some OpenDingux versions, since this release is meant for OpenDingux as he said in the first post.

Yea just reporting in. I formatted my 2GB miniSD FAT32, there's nothing else on it besides the kernel and rootfs.bin

I believe ValdikSS is using an unreleased beta of OpenDingux, so fceux will work on the future release.

glad to hear it, are you on the OD development team? And what improvements can we expect coming from this new version?
