Hi

I put the tos file in same directory as the emu and get "rom not found" when it boots in. It then crashes. Using the tos file recommended in the readme.

Have named it tos.rom, rom and tos.

Crashes everytime when I press a key and have to reboot.

Thanks as always Chui, your Preview was impressive enough, nice to see, that you improved it.

Hellsing: Try ROM  ;D
Awesome release Chui, great speed! Some demos (especially megademos) should be watched with Hatari though, but those that run flawlessly run very well (e.g. Fantasia, Virtual Escape)  :D

-edit- I just noticed dcastaway has a scaler for demos that use high res modes, nice!  :)

OK, tried ROM and doesn't work. How big is the file?

The one I use with the other Atari emu is 256k. I tried another which was 512k and the emu says "rom not found".

Not going to waste much more time on this as the other atari st emu works well enough for me.

The TOS I'm using is the 1.04 UK. it is 192kb in size and works no problem.

Is the TOS you are in using in zip form? I noticed that even when I unzipped my TOS it still showed as a zip file.

OK, still having no luck. Have the TOS 1.04 UK file and renamed it to rom. The folder structure is:

data (Folder)
dcastaway.dge
readme
rom (img file)

still says rom not found.

It must be rom, without extension, not rom.img.

Hi,

It is named just rom (its not displayed as rom.img)

It says is an img file when I look into properties.

Here is my screenshot. Don't usually have problems but this is crazy!

Oh, the problem is:
Windows hidden the extension for know file types, then you can rename this "rom.img" in ms-dos mode (executing cmd) or change the configurarion in view menu, unmark "hide file extension for know fule types" (i'am translating from spanish and my english is very bad, but y hope to be of utility for you)

If you look the file "readme" not have extension, but windows recognices this how a text file, the rom windows recognices how a image file, then extension is hidden

Of course you can use Linux...  :D

Hi

Thanks for the help jevilon. Finally got it working. For anyone having this issue go to dos and type

rename tos_104.img rom

Must have been having a blonde moment:)

Cheers

Ahh alright, that was the problem. Stupidest Windows default option ever... You can switch that in folder options.
