You need to put "selector = yes" into the dmenu entry, like here:
Quote
MenuItem Snes9x
{
Icon = "res/emulators/snes9x.png"
Name = "Snes9x"
Executable = "./Snes9x"
WorkDir = "/usr/local/emulators/snes9x"
Selector = yes
}

simple logic would say "hey lets try to make these things as close as we can to the actual systems we are emulating including the controls..." But NNNOOOOOOO we can't do that.

Humm, I had trouble with SNES9x too.  I never changed anything in the dmenu.cfg file to make it work, either.  I just uploaded the roms directly into the SNES folder, and just select straight on one of them, and it loads up beautiful, no lists or nothing.

Just don't select snes9x at all.
Every time I did that, I used to get a flashing red and pink screen.

Thought something was wrong with SNES
Turns out, just needed to put the files in that same place, and select directly on them, and viola!

Does anyone know if someone is working on a nice menu front-end for this emulator? Nothing crazy, just something a little more user friendly than the built-in Dingux selector.

Exactly, to be honest, I hate that Dingux selector!
